FnC's went up against Australia Z last week.. game came as a bit of a suprise as we werent sure who they were as it was a while back that we played them last.. they made the silly decision to send us in to field once again.. the guys were on fire and kept them to 27 or near abouts.. great efforts from the whole team kept them to a poultry margin that was relatively easy to beat.. the ball was very hard to keep a hold off, but we did an awesome job..

Batting was superb from every player.. FnC'S ended up winning by 106 odd runs and played one of the better games of the season..

This week we have a bye and will be back next week with vengence..

Time for a cricket update as there hasnt been any posts on it in this new season..

Currently the FNCs are at the top of the ladder and are 5 wins 1 draw and 0 losses.. Wins have come from the berri bandits x 2, australia z, walla blacks, cabsavs and a draw against nine..

Both berri bandits games have been fun with dan taking 3 votes in one and adi in the other.. gribbo has had some fine performances and has had 2 3vote games this season.. The game versus nine was going to be a walkover until the batting of the FNC's died in the ass again trying to get 31.. the last over adi gets out twice and goes from an easy win to a lose, last ball hits a 3 for the draw.. crucial.. The cab savs was a relatively easy game that was a good challenge.. Last weeks game against wallablacks was an ultimate performance in the field, keeping them to 21.. Luckily the FnC's managed to get the batting together and won by 8 and got to 29.. troy and boltzie were on fire, dan was shit again, well outa form, and everyone else struggled.. 3 votes went to adi and 1 to troy.. all about defining moments..

Next weeks game is against Australia Z, a new team we beat easily the first time around.. This year the competition is going to come from the mOfos' (able eels) or from the routers.. should be bloody good..

Well the cricket season has come to an end with the FnC's finishing up 3rd on the ladder with a pretty good record for the season.. 12 wins 7 losses - 1600 runs scored and 1150 scored against us.. not too bad.. we still struggle in big matches, typically losing to gription, the buddas, routers and the occasional bad game against lesser teams.. Still a lot better than previous efforts..

Bandits game 2 weeks ago:
A destruction happened against the bandints with them being 2 men short, they ended up making -4.. the fnc's 154.. total annihilation, but to be fair, they were short players and had a guy that had been in hospital, best of luck.. a good team performance with mark and baymes earing some drinks and andy ripping off the votes to try and pip adi's season high of 17..

Finals:
The able eels game was set to be a good one with the game in the previous week being very tight and a bit of a suprise.. The eels won the toss and made a rash decision to bat first, even with the fnc's 2 players down.. A pretty tight start from us saw them make little progress in the first pair, bayman, andy and adi bowling tightly.. the 2nd pair saw their big guy demolish anything pitched up, but he was batting with their worst, so what he put on, we took off.. they still managed to get the total close to 45.. the next pair had us on the backfoot with the typical net play that saw them reach 70 at one stage, it was starting to look bad for the boys.. their last pair consisteded of an old guy and we got to choose another batsmen, taking their worst.. they then proceeded to choose 2 bowlers to finish the 4 overs, troy and adi were picked, and taught them a bit of a lesson.. the total went back to 50 with some precision bowling once troy had picked the weaknesses.. a great comeback that placed the momentum with the FnC's..

Adi and gribbo struggled opening again with a total of 6.. troy and andy did a good job with the t-roy in superb form with the bat, smashing their bowling to all parts of the ground and getting the total to 35.. baymes and mark did a good job, but got pinned down in the last over to get to 55, with adi's and g's first performance, the game was still in the balance.. until some controlled shot play and smashing of average bowling took the total to 103, a 47 run partnership that doubled their score and put it well out of contention.. a good game with short numbers..

The bhuddas and caps game at 8.20 was a different story.. some crap bowling allowed them to put pressure on us by hitting the nets constantly... it highlighted the need for us to change up our bowling, as they knew it was an all pace attack which they just needed to stand in front of the stumps for.. some variation would have changed it up a bit.. they made 115, which was always going to be tough..

Ads and G went in an made a hard fought 26, which was a promising start.. andy and mikey had the total up to 60 after 6 overs and it was looking like we were on the way until mikey lost concentration and fell in a heap, losing lots of wickets and the total going back to 40 after 8.. baymes and mark struggled with some unlucky fielding and bullshit runouts, the total was 60 with 4 overs left... troy and mikey were chosen for the last pair and pulled as much shit as they could, mikey not taking no shit from the unsporting capsters and gave as good as he got.. fair bump, play on.. in my opinion it was appropriate and took a bit of the feeling out of the match which made it a little more light hearted and sporting, because its whats needed when one team does anything to try to win..

Anyhow.. was a good season, and a pretty good run, routers seem pretty undefeatable and pounded capsters in the first match, which im sure will happen again this sunday.. look foward to next season, still good fun and is almost time for some new shirts.. aiiiiiiite..

Cricket Update

Well, a big game loomed on the monday just past, a game which was not expected to be of the calibre it was.. The eels sent the fnc's in to bat and with a relatively new ball, did the damage to adi and gribbo, with everything going to hand or some good bowling, a total of -9 to start didn't look promising.. mikey and boltz went in next and struggled all the same, with billy almost being bowled a hatrick, the total to -4.. andy and jonno turned the tables thou after having a torrid time in the first 3 overs let loose with a barrage of brilliant shots of their best bowler to turn the tables and bring about a momentum change.. bayms and mark went in last and had some trademark shots and saw the return to form for mark with a top score of 47, resulting in the fnc's having an appropriate score for the fuck n cunts, 69.. defendable, especially after many verbal taunts from the opposition..

The FnC's, determined to make it a game, produced one of their performances of the season with some superb bowling all round and great fielding.. notables were andys overs, some great work from jonno in close, adis -10 from a crucial over, baymans run-out and tight bowling, boltz's stop at the back, mikeys bowling was unplayable, mark did the work in close and was tight bowling too, g had a good game, in other words, the fnc's pulled together for a great team performance, one that did have notable individual efforts, but in essence it was the team that got themselves out of the slump and managed to turn it around, hopefully the - i did this, i was the best - attitude won't demolish the team morale for the upcoming finals..

Last week the FnC's had a bad loss to the woodducks.. the old guys put on one of there better performances and played a much smarter game considering the ball that was given to us.. the fnc's went about it by trying an all out pace attack, which didn't work when the ball wasn't doing anything and their batsmen just stood infront of the stumps and made easy runs..

The FnC batsmen then went about the run chase in the wrong fashion by trying to belt the ball out of the ground, but some smart bowling by the ducks had us on the ropes with some crappy spin that were overturning and making life difficult.. a very average game from the fnc's, but a lot of koudos had to go to the ducks who played a technical game with an average ball..

Cricket Update

well... the fnc's had a great win last week vs the berri bandits.. the fnc's destroyed them in the field with an ultimate performance of bowling, catching and run-outs.. special mentions go to blackmans clean bowling of middle stump of a couple of blokes.. adi's -8 from 3 overs with some great fielding from the team, and mikey's all time flick run-out, bloody good effort... everyone else performed well, even thou we were one man down..

the batting was a little lacklustre with only 105 being put on the board.. adi and gribbo struggled at the start but managed to pull the total to 31.. boonga and mark pushed to total to 66 odd with some great hitting from the black man which would have gone out of any ground.. andy and mike fucked around a bit with un-necessary runs which they eventually got done for... still got the total to 88.. mikey and bolts went in for the last stint and put on another 18 runs odd and made it look easy.. overall a great team performance with 3 votes going to blackie, 2 to adi, 1 to gribbo, tying up the vote count..

the week before was the traditional match against gription, always a tough match... fnc's won the toss for the 2nd week in a row and made them bat, a great decision with a rock hard new ball.. the fnc's had the ball moving around everywhere which made it extremely difficult to bat.. gription ended up making a total of 55.. with their last pair playing the gay nets style which made it near on impossible to slow them down..

the fnc's changed the batting order this week with mark and blackman opening the batting.. after a few sluggish overs to start, the pies came on and they managed to make 23 of the last over.. troy and boltz went in next and got the total to 40.. one of tttt-roys best performances of the season.. mikey and andy were under pressure to perform and got the total to 47, leaving adi and gribbo to face their strike bowlers to make a total of 7.. failure was the result, some terrible batting from both adi and gribbo cost the match, even thou it was some of the best bowling seen from the gription team.. the curse is yet to be broken with a loss of 6 runs and some very dodgy umpiring decisions for both teams..

next weeks game is vs the woodducks at 8.20... should be a good challenge vs the old blokes..

Monday night the FnC's went up against the woodducks.. old guys that beat us last time in their best match ever.. now this was never going to happen again as a result of the dominant structure of the FnC's..

A great toss was won and a semi new ball damaged the opposition.. the first 4 overs didn't fare to well and they managed to get the total to 29.. then the damage started to begin with adi taking 3 wickets, cameron pulling some bullshit fielding (fill-in from cabsavs), some good work from behind the stumps by gribbo, some excellent bowling from mikey, mark and baymes pulled some of his usual stuff in the field.. to say the least.. everyone took them apart and the next 3 pairs only made 5 for a top score of 34.. complete domination which was enough to slow them down..

The batting had adi and gribbo go in and destroy to make 33, one short of their entire team.. Mark n booongman (gotta stop using full name) had a wierd partnership, mark got out off everything, completely bullshit ones as well, whilst booongman hit 4's, 6's, 7's, you name it, and it got hit.. enough to put the game out of their reach.. andy and mikey cleaned up some more and did some dainty work in getting the total close to 100.. Andy went in again as we were 1 short and backed up with woodsy to complete the rout.. An excellent game with all 4 skins won by the FnC's..

Big game next week vs the able eels, who have also taken on re-inforcements and beat us last time due to some severe batting, should be a good 7.10 game next week.. FnC's should be close to the top of the ladder again this week, Hail!..
